PerkClub is a membership platform for independent businesses. It lets your customers subscribe to your business with a monthly membership. They get exclusive perks, you get predictable recurring revenue — paid out to your bank account every week via Stripe.
No. That's one of the biggest differences. Customers scan your QR code, sign up in 30 seconds on a web page, and save their membership pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. It lives right alongside their bank cards — no app to download.
Loyalty schemes reward spending after the fact with points or stamps. PerkClub is a membership where customers pay you upfront every month in exchange for guaranteed perks. You earn revenue before they even walk through the door.
PerkClub is based in London. We bill in GBP, our team is based here, and our merchants are independent UK businesses. International support is on the roadmap.
Independent UK businesses that rely on regular footfall like coffee shops, barbers, salons, bakeries, florists, gyms, delis, juice bars, pet groomers, and ice cream shops. If your customers visit repeatedly and would value a membership, PerkClub fits.
No. PerkClub gives independent businesses the same kind of subscription product chains like Pret offer — under your own brand, with your own pricing, your own perks. We're the platform; the membership belongs to your shop.
PerkClub was founded in the United Kingdom in 2025. The platform was built specifically for the independent UK high street and the team works directly with merchants on the operational details.
PerkClub has three published tiers: Starter at £59/month (up to 20 members), Standard at £99/month (up to 50 members), and Max at £199/month (up to 100 members). Beyond that, an Enterprise tier is custom-priced. All tiers exclude the Stripe processing fee.
The 1.5% + 20p per transaction covers Stripe's payment processing fees — standard for the industry, and a small share of the recurring revenue each member brings. This increases to 2.5% for EEA cards and 3.25% for International or AMEX cards.
Stripe processes all membership payments and sends your earnings directly to your bank account every week. You can track all payments and payouts from your merchant dashboard.
Yes. All plans are rolling 30-day contracts. No lock-in, no cancellation fees. We work with independent businesses and know how volatile this can be so do not want to lock anyone into a long term contract.
No, there is no free trial available.
As a worked example: 50 members at £40/month = £2,000/month MRR. Transaction fees at 1.5% + 20p ≈ £40/month. Standard tier subscription = £99/month. Net to the shop: ~£1,861/month — before accounting for any uplift in members' add-on spending. The full calculator is on the homepage.
When your active member count exceeds your tier's limit, you'll be automatically upgraded. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
No. There are no setup fees, no onboarding fees, and no fees for designing your QR codes. The only costs are your monthly platform fee and the per-transaction Stripe fee.
Stripe is PCI Level 1 certified, processes payments globally with strong fraud protection, and handles UK-domiciled merchant payouts cleanly. PerkClub never stores card details — Stripe handles all card data and we receive only tokenised references.
No. PerkClub will guide you through creating a Stripe Express account during onboarding. First-time Stripe verification adds 10–20 minutes to setup; subsequent sessions are faster.
Once weekly, on the same day each week, automatically. The first payout typically lands 7–10 days after your first paid member, while Stripe completes its initial verification.
If a member's payment fails, their QR is automatically blocked until payment is remade. Stripe does this automatically, so you don't have to chase the payment yourself.
Yes — like any UK service, memberships are subject to VAT rules based on your business's VAT status.
Yes. Refunds can be triggered from the Stripe dashboard and are processed back to the original payment method.
When a customer signs up via QR code, they tap 'Add to Apple Wallet' and the branded membership pass appears in their iPhone Wallet alongside their bank cards. No app download, no Apple ID setup beyond what they already have, and no further taps needed for daily use.
On Android, the same QR-scan signup flow ends with 'Add to Google Wallet'. The pass appears in the customer's native Google Wallet (or Wear OS wallet on supported devices) — same UX, no separate Android app.
Apple Wallet and Google Wallet sync passes through the customer's iCloud or Google account, so a new device automatically restores the membership pass. If something goes wrong, the customer can re-add the pass from their account dashboard in seconds.
Yes. Apple Watch wearers can show their pass directly from the Watch's Wallet app. Wear OS supports Google Wallet passes on supported devices. Staff scan it the same way as a phone.
Yes. We use your logo and brand colours however you can change this in the platform should you want to.
They scan your QR code (or visit your membership link), choose a plan, enter their payment details, and save their membership pass to their phone wallet. The whole process takes about 30 seconds.
Customers can cancel their membership at any time from their member dashboard. Their membership remains active until the end of their current billing period.
Absolutely. All payments are processed by Stripe, which is PCI Level 1 certified — the highest level of security in the payments industry. We never store card details on our servers.
Memberships are personal — the pass is tied to the member's account, and staff can see the member's name on the kiosk during redemption.
Each member has a personal dashboard showing their plan, perks, redemptions used in the current period, and renewal date.
Standard PerkClub plans don't include a pause feature today — members can cancel and re-join. Pause functionality is on the roadmap for shops in highly seasonal industries.
Not at the moment but this is something that is on the roadmap.
No. PerkClub sends only useful transactional emails — welcome, payment confirmation, renewal reminders, and perk-expiry alerts. We don't send marketing broadcasts, and merchants can't bulk-email members from the platform either.
Yes. From their member dashboard, members can switch between published tiers at any time.
Stripe automatically renews the subscription on the member's billing anniversary. The wallet pass updates with the new period's entitlements automatically. Members receive a payment receipt by email; they don't need to do anything.
Perks reset at the start of each billing cycle (use it or lose it).
Yes. Merchants can suspend a member, reach out to support@perkclub.io for help.
Built-in referral mechanics are on the roadmap.
Rolling 30-day contracts. Cancel any time from your dashboard. Once cancelled you will need to accept redemptions for members until the end of their billing date. You'll remain on the platform until the end of your current billing period, after which billing stops automatically. You will not be able to launch any new memberships or accept new members during this period.
Their subscriptions are cancelled at the end of their current period and their wallet passes are deactivated. They will be emailed saying that you have decided to cancel with PerkClub.
PerkClub doesn't enforce a refund policy on customers — that's between you and your members. We provide the tools to issue refunds (full or partial) through your dashboard.
Technically yes — Stripe allows chargebacks on any card transaction. In practice, membership chargebacks are rare because the value is clearly visible and the cancel-anytime model gives customers a friction-free off-ramp. You'll be notified of any chargeback and can dispute it through Stripe.

If your customers visit weekly or more often and your average ticket is over £3, a paid membership will outperform a stamp card on revenue and retention. Most shops run both for 60–90 days, then quietly retire the stamp card once members reach critical mass.
Yes. PerkClub doesn't import points balances (the model is incompatible) but you can keep your existing points programme running while you launch a parallel membership and let customers pick. Most shops find members convert organically over a few months.
POS-bundled loyalty is convenient but tied to your till provider. PerkClub is POS-agnostic and built around recurring revenue, not retroactive points. Many shops keep their POS for transactions and use PerkClub for memberships — the two coexist cleanly.
Yes, and many shops do — especially during the launch phase.
Memberships are opt-in by signup, so customers re-enter their details when they join. This is deliberate: it ensures GDPR consent is fresh and avoids inheriting stale data.
Most independent UK coffee shops sell daily-coffee plans at £30–£50/month: 1 hot drink per day, 10% off pastries, plus a small extra (priority seating or a free birthday upgrade). See our coffee-shop guide for the full design playbook.
Yes — PerkClub doesn't replace your booking system (Booksy, Fresha, Square Appointments, etc.). It sits alongside it. Members get priority booking through your existing flow, and the PerkClub kiosk handles redemption when they arrive.
Weekly-bouquet memberships convert your most regular customers into a known weekly forecast. Instead of guessing how many lilies to buy, you order to your member count.
You can configure perks around quieter windows.
An amount of pastries per month at ~£38/month is the safe default for independent UK bakeries. The economics work because members anchor the morning visit, drive coffee attach, and stabilise your bake-to-demand forecast. Avoid 'unlimited' caps unless your morning bake has slack.
Yes. If you need multilocation reporting and site specific menus then that's what the Enterprise tier is for. Message us on hello@perkclub.io
Most businesses go live in under 30 minutes. Design your membership, set your perks and pricing, and you're ready to print your QR code and start accepting members.
No hardware needed. The kiosk runs in the browser on any tablet, laptop, or phone you already own — just open your staff link and you're ready. Staff scan the member's wallet pass (or their phone), see what they're entitled to, tap redeem. It takes seconds per customer and no app to install.
Any business that relies on regular footfall — coffee shops, barbers, salons, bakeries, florists, gyms, delis, and more. If your customers visit repeatedly and would value a membership, PerkClub works for you.
No. There's no code, no developer tools, and no integrations to wire up. The membership builder is a form. Most shop owners set the whole thing up themselves in one sitting.
You can reach us on our business WhatsApp number or on our support chat in the platform.
Yes. We've worked with hundreds of independent UK shops to calibrate perks, pricing, and caps. If you'd like a structured walkthrough before launch, email hello@perkclub.io and we'll help you design something profitable.
