Who we are

PerkClub ("we", "us") is a UK-based membership platform operated by the PerkClub team. Our website is https://perkclub.io. For privacy enquiries, contact hello@perkclub.io.

What we collect

  • Account information when a merchant signs up: name, email, business name, phone (optional).
  • Membership signup data when a customer joins a merchant’s membership: name, email, payment details (processed by Stripe; we do not store card details).
  • Usage data: standard server logs, anonymised analytics, and product-event telemetry to improve the service.

How we use it

We use personal data to provide the PerkClub service: process membership payments (via Stripe), issue Apple/Google Wallet passes, send transactional email (welcome, receipts, renewal reminders), and provide merchant analytics. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Legal bases

  • Contract: to provide the platform you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, and improve the service.
  • Consent: where required (e.g. marketing emails, optional analytics cookies).
  • Legal obligation: to comply with UK accounting, tax, and AML requirements.

Sub-processors

We rely on a small number of trusted sub-processors to operate the service, including:

  • Stripe — payment processing and payouts (PCI Level 1).
  • Supabase — database and authentication.
  • Resend — transactional email.
  • Vercel — hosting and CDN.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@perkclub.io.

Retention

We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and for a further period required by UK accounting and tax law (currently 6 years). Other personal data is deleted when no longer needed for the purposes above.

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Database access is restricted to service-role credentials, with row-level security policies on customer data. Card details are never stored on PerkClub servers — Stripe handles all card processing.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page when we make material changes and update the "last updated" date above. For substantial changes we’ll also email account holders.
